About the Role
Seeking an experienced product developer to manage the development process from raw material procurement to prototype execution and wash direction, ensuring a smooth transition to production.
Responsibilities
- Build product in partnership with design, achieving aesthetic, quality, and cost requirements against brand standards.
- Lead sample and development tracking, ensuring timely material review and comment submission.
- Update seasonal development WIP charts and communicate daily open issues.
- Communicate daily with the Los Angeles sewing room for efficient development workflow.
- Coordinate with the technical designer for necessary construction detail and pattern updates.
- Ensure raw material POs are placed and tracked, and accurate BOMs are maintained.
- Create accurate cost profiles for samples and work with vendors for alternative options to meet margin targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues requiring an innovative approach using process knowledge and leadership experience.
- Travel to factories and vendor partners to work with technical teams and advance fit, quality, washes, and timelines.
Requirements
- Ability to see the ‘big picture’ while managing details and juggling multiple projects and seasons concurrently.
- Inspiring team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with pc software including Microsoft Office & PLM systems.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
