About the Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Actuarial Technical Analyst for our CDAT team! The individual will play a technical business support role in the various projects.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of recurrent reports/processes, including creation, development, modification, and production in Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
- Analyze and synthesize report KPIs, providing commentary for internal and external business users.
- Support adhoc data/reports creation and conduct validations/investigations of production issues.
- Recommend improvements and implement approved modifications.
- Contribute actively to the team’s work by considering priorities.
- Provide coaching to staff and/or act as a reference.
- Share systems knowledge and provide training when required.
- May participate in the design and establishment of new databases environments.
Requirements
- Highly developed analytical skills facilitating problem solving.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams.
- Strong project management skills to engage with business requirements and present recommendations.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word).
- Experience with programming (SAS, Python, VBA, SQL among others) and data reporting/visualization tools like Power BI.
- Experience in database design and validation/maintenance process establishment is an asset.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry is an asset.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
