About the Role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will provide technical and project direction for equipment and facility installations at all Bodycote S3P NA locations. This role includes assessing, developing, improving, and implementing equipment maintenance training, PM systems, and basic environmental and safety programs, workflow, and cost control. Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, this position is deemed safety-sensitive.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical assistance on projects for equipment and facility installations.
Provide field supervision for the installation and start-up of equipment and facility projects.
Provide guidance to meet current OSHA and environmental standards.
Provide site-specific maintenance training.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reductions.
Interface with equipment manufacturers and vendors to maintain positive working relationships and stay current on new equipment capabilities and technology advancements.
Serve as a communication link to all levels of Bodycote.
Provide written and oral communication to the Senior General Manager and Corporate Engineering.
Work in a manner consistent with the EMS.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Maintain confidentiality of compensation information.
Perform duties in an ethical and professional manner with proprietary and third-party information.

Requirements

Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent plus 15+ years industrial maintenance experience required.
15+ years of relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in 3 out of the 4 following areas: Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical Systems.
Ability to read equipment schematics and electrical diagrams.
Must possess troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and be analytical.
Willingness to expand knowledge to other related areas through formal training.
Ability to use appropriate systems to record maintenance data and order maintenance materials.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be a self-directed individual capable of multi-purpose activities.
Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach.
Ability to lift 35 lbs.
May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity.
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Must be able to travel between North America Bodycote locations and internationally as needed.
