About the Role

The Assistant Program Director oversees daily operations of the Compass Urgent Accommodation Voucher (CUAV) program, manages staff, implements program policies, and provides direct support to families in crisis. This role involves working across multiple sites to ensure effective service delivery and emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support case managers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
  • Implement program policies equitably and manage client de-escalation
  • Cultivate collaborative community partnerships and maintain funder relationships
  • Communicate with partner hotels and advocate for clients and staff
  • Coordinate client intakes, transfers, and discharges
  • Represent the CUAV program in internal and external meetings
  • Manage program operations in the absence of the Program Director

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in social work or a related field
  • Deep understanding of issues facing homeless and low-income families
  • Experience with de-escalation and working with people in crisis
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and reliability skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable

Salary/Compensations

  • $70,000 - $80,000
