Responsibilities
- Install piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for water and wastewater distribution in residential buildings
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures
- Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe and fitting installation
- Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Set priorities and manage work assignments to meet deadlines
- Adhere to safety rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Perform equipment inspections
- Maintain current knowledge of modern equipment and regulations
Requirements
- Registered Plumber Apprentice Level 3
- Experience in new home residential plumbing
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Physically capable of performing all required job duties
- Growth mindset with a dependable and ambitious attitude
