About the Role

This is an expression of interest for future opportunities. The Post-Production Producer will manage all advertising projects for the Toronto ADS team, ensuring client sessions are attended and collaborating on quotes for potential VFX opportunities. Responsibilities include budget and schedule management, crew planning, workflow setup, client communication, and project oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the bidding process for all advertising opportunities in collaboration with the global ADS team.
  • Produce advertising projects for Toronto, establish timelines, and manage the VFX/post-production schedule.
  • Manage crew planning tasks, including sketching bookings, adding bookings for artists, and participating in weekly resource meetings.
  • Assist in setting up workflow and processes for grading and online sessions.
  • Assign key talent to projects and organize kick-off meetings with HOD and crew planning teams.
  • Ensure projects run smoothly by verifying tasks are created and assigned, and artist estimates and timelogs are properly entered.
  • Communicate project status regularly with clients and foster a positive, collaborative working relationship.
  • Oversee project progress and efficiency, track schedules and budgets, and maintain up-to-date Shotgrid information.
  • Anticipate and address potential time and budget issues, as well as client-requested changes, adjusting quotes and schedules accordingly.
  • Maintain regular communication with the production team regarding important project information.
  • Contribute to post-mortem meetings to identify areas for improvement and ensure all issues are addressed.
  • Support business development initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Producer.
  • Monitor the team's work climate and promote a positive work environment aligned with company values.
  • Produce Film & Episodic VFX projects as needed.
  • Perform other tasks related to the position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position within post-production in the advertising sector.
  • Relevant experience in visual effects and knowledge of the VFX process.
  • Must be available for occasional travel.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Shotgrid project management software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of GSuite and Monday is an asset.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage stress under pressure and maintain a positive and composed attitude.
  • Excellent sense of priorities and respect for deadlines and budgets.
