About the Role

The One Legal team at Equinix is seeking a Canadian Government Contracts Manager to support Equinix’s growing Federal business in Canada. This role requires fluency in French and eligibility for a Canadian government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to department personnel on customer contracting issues.
  • Understand, adhere to, and promote company ethics and compliance policies.
  • Communicate directly with customer procurement and contracting officials.
  • Manage active contracts and engagements.
  • Act as liaison with Equinix Sales Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Customer Service Managers, and security program officials to ensure contract compliance.
  • Use functional experience in the review and administration of nondisclosure, teaming, and subcontracting agreements.
  • Develop and maintain the Canadian procurement compliance regime and related programs.
  • Identify, develop, and implement enhancements to Equinix’s Canadian Government contract policy and processes.
  • Conduct proposal preparation, including examining RFP requirements, analyzing terms and conditions to evaluate risks, and ensuring proper contract acquisition and fulfillment.
  • Review, improve, and address gap areas in contracting department templates and documents.
  • Travel to company locations or customer sites as necessary (less than 10%).
  • Obtain and maintain a Canadian Government security clearance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Typically 7+ years of business work experience in directing, managing, or supervising the customer contracting process with the Canadian Government, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience with Canadian acquisition regulations and all types of contracting procedures.
  • Business level bilingual English and French-Canadian written and verbal communication is required.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Canadian Government security clearance is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving, risk assessment and strategy.
  • Excellent proposal development skills.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex negotiations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to spot issues based on extensive past work experience and formal training.
  • Must be highly organized and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Required to manage multiple functions and interact with personnel at all levels of management.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
  • Familiarity with multiple CRM tools.

  • 112,000 - 162,000 CAD / Annual
