About the Role
The Director, CMS Stablecoin Product Development will lead the strategy, product definition, and end-to-end delivery of stablecoin-enabled capabilities across priority use cases within the Commercial & Money Movement Solutions (CMS) organization. This role will focus on Person to Person / Remittance Stablecoin Use Cases and defining the stablecoin strategy for the Currencycloud platform, considering Collect and Hold Use Cases. It spans product strategy, build, partner ecosystem development, multiregional scaling, and commercialization of stablecoin money movement solutions. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Technology, Regions, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Licensing) and external partners to bring stablecoin products from concept to global adoption, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and commercially impactful.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new opportunities across Web3, digital assets, and programmable payments, focused on Person to Person / Remittance Stablecoin and Collect and Hold.
- Track industry trends, customer feedback themes, and ecosystem providers to prioritize potential use cases.
- Define product requirements and translate them into detailed features for the development team.
- Participate in solutioning discussions with engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Support delivery alignment from requirements through implementation.
- Define commercial models, revenue opportunity outlook, and time to revenue within use cases and proposed solutions.
- Lead the build and expansion, including global rollout plans and operating models.
- Ensure roadmap adherence, capability delivery, and strong cross-functional execution.
- Own end-to-end design, governance, and optimization of use cases.
- Maintain clear performance, risk, and operational health metrics for stablecoin enabled transactions.
- Partner with regions to localize models for regulatory alignment, client readiness, and scalable deployment.
- Lead with a customer-centric mindset and bring propositions to customers for feedback and co-design.
- Translate customer needs into product requirements, pilot structures, and pricing plans.
- Serve as CMS’s stablecoin expert in client engagements, executive briefings, and partner forums for money movement.
- Articulate ideal customer profiles for proposed use cases to aid sales understanding.
- Support development of client-facing playbooks, value propositions, compliance FAQs, and sales collateral.
- Support commercialization strategies and drive field readiness across regions.
- Define and own KPIs including product readiness, client adoption, revenue contribution, and volume growth.
- Lead executive communications, surfacing decisions, trade-offs, and investment requirements.
- Improve product delivery processes, partner models, and commercialization frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, payments, fintech, or related fields.
- Experience with B2B payments, stablecoins, digital assets, blockchain, or money movement infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional product development from 0 → 1, including defining requirements, navigating ambiguity, and bringing new capabilities to market.
- Proven track record of leading go-to-market execution across regions and partner ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical and regulatory concepts.
- Excellent communication, executive-level storytelling, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, matrixed global organizations with multiple cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Regions).
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and execution.
- High degree of comfort with emerging technologies, experimentation, and navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Deep familiarity with stablecoin mechanics (reserve models, custody, mint/burn flows, settlement models).
- Experience working with wallet providers, stablecoin issuers, payment processors, or on/off-ramp partners.
- Understanding of Visa, Visa Direct, and commercial card ecosystems.
- Experience designing or launching programmable money, tokenized value, or real-time payment solutions.
- Prior ownership of commercialization or revenue-driving responsibilities.
- Ability to develop clear frameworks and prioritize across multiregional product demands.
- Strong bias toward action, learning, and iteration in emerging tech environments.
- This position will be performed in an office setting.
- The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
- This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
