About the Role
Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience in the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability matters. Responsibilities
- Manage cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Ensure meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements.
- Work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
- Provide clear and consistent client communication, including regular updates and comprehensive written status reports.
- Conduct in-depth legal research.
- Prepare strategic memoranda.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Prepare and file dispositive motions.
- Handle arbitrations and mediations.
- Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers.
Requirements
- Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.
- Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions.
- Ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive written status reports for insurers.
- Previous experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions independently.
- Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations.
