About the Role
The Operations Lead is a critical member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency through coaching and effective operations management. This role partners closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to achieve optimal results and support total store operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute inventory management processes, focusing on accuracy and shrink reduction.
- Investigate and resolve inventory accuracy issues, escalating process or system gaps.
- Manage key operational functions including shipment, receiving, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
- Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
- Support a safe and efficient work environment through stockroom standards and processes.
- Partner to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
- Leverage metrics to support business-driving strategies.
- Assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests on the retail floor.
- Lead by example, inspiring staff in daily operations and guest experience.
- Oversee Operations Associates, including recruitment and talent development.
- Provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement for operations associates.
- Collaborate with Visual Lead for cross-functional training and Sales & Service Lead for business execution.
- Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
- Proven leadership capabilities with excellent decision-making skills.
- Values feedback, is receptive to receiving it, and eager to provide it.
- High energy, upbeat, and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work.
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
- Open availability, including peak days and weekends.
- Ability to work during the company’s Blackout period (Thanksgiving through early January).
