About the Role
Our store is a physical incarnation of the Peak Design brand, and you’ll need to be a dedicated steward of that space. This retail space is where our community can explore our gear, mingle with our team, and learn what makes Peak Design tick. Our store staff are friendly hosts, product experts, educators, and instructors.
Responsibilities
- Greet and determine the needs of every customer.
- Explain product uses and how they fit into the product ecosystem.
- Handle product returns, warranty claims, and concerns.
- Provide product support in-person and over the phone.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Internalize customer feedback and provide it to the store manager.
- Maintain an immaculate store environment, both inside and outside.
- Ensure products on the floor are neatly assembled and hung correctly.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized stock area.
- Support community events, including brainstorming, designing, executing, and running events.
Requirements
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday, with opportunity for additional shifts.
- Expert users of Peak Design gear or individuals with a genuine interest in quickly developing that knowledge base.
- Employees who will take pride in making our store a clean, friendly, inviting place.
- Creatives and adventurers who can talk shop with similarly-passionate folks and understand their needs.
- Love to host, educate, and enthrall others, and also love to listen.
- Have a history of community involvement (e.g., attending Meetups, joining clubs, making connections).
- Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality.
- Personal or professional interest in or experience with products in our industry.
- Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods (8+ hours).
- Ability to frequently move objects up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to frequently ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like.
