About the Role
ABC is seeking a detail-oriented, professional, diligent, and accountable individual willing to learn and apply specialized knowledge of pest control treatments to best serve customers.
Responsibilities
- Listen to customer concerns regarding pest control services and suggest proper treatments or solutions.
- Identify pests, their sources, and develop solutions for elimination and prevention.
- Work inside/outside for extended periods, potentially in extreme temperatures.
- Work on roofs, at high heights, and on ladders.
- Apply chemicals and/or mix solutions using various extermination techniques.
- Prioritize workload, work under pressure, and handle irate customers with composure.
- Maintain TDA licensing requirements and attend continuing education courses.
- Maintain a professional attitude with customers, employees, and supervisors.
- Use company phone and software efficiently for job-related tasks.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date at least five years prior to the application date.
- Ability to work on roofs, high heights, ladders, and crawlspaces.
- Dependable and disciplined with a desire to work year-round.
- Serious, sincere, and cooperative demeanor.
- Ability to manage specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence.
- Ability to adhere to guidelines and procedures set by ABC and the Texas Department of Agriculture.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work inside and/or outside for long periods, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
- Must maintain an active Driver’s License and be insurable.
- Must be able to work a minimum of one Saturday per month.
- Pass pre-employment screenings including drug screen, physical, and physical performance evaluation.
- Pass E-Verify (I-9) program.
- Pass comprehensive criminal background checks.
- Pass a 7-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review.
- Pass a second thorough background check by the Texas Department of Agriculture for Pest License issuance.
