About the Role
The Investment Associate will support the Global Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment team by providing transaction support in deal execution, asset management, and other ad-hoc projects and initiatives to promote growth of the team and wider business.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate investment opportunities through financial modeling and due diligence
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee on deal findings and other analyses
- Assist with deal closing processes alongside the Investment Structuring Team and legal counsel
- Represent team and build rapport with partners and counterparties by attending GP/company board meetings, industry events, and other ad-hoc meetings
- Monitor and assist in the management of existing portfolio companies and investments
- Support client and fundraising requests and participate in client and fundraising meetings
- Conduct market and sector research for use in pitchbooks, client materials or external publications
Requirements
- Prior knowledge and deal experience (2-4 years) in infrastructure & real assets, private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or related roles
- Strong financial modelling skills, ability to understand financial statements, interpret and calculate key financial metrics
- Ability to learn quickly, take initiative and handle a large amount of responsibility early on
- Interest in working in a fast-paced deal execution environment with the ability to perform well under pressure with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results
- Strong problem solving, influencing and relationship building skills – ability to build relationships internally and externally with General Partners, clients, brokers, consultants, and management teams
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel on a varying basis
