About the Role

Mercedes-Benz North Scottsdale, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is seeking a Sales Manager to deliver extraordinary customer experiences and drive dealership success.

Responsibilities

  • Help the sales team produce results and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Ensure customers have a world-class car-buying experience.
  • Provide expertise to help customers find the right vehicle.
  • Ensure the sales team is motivated and trained.
  • Set sales goals based on individual skill levels.
  • Maintain an appealing showroom.
  • Set monthly and annual goals for the Sales Department with the General Manager.
  • Report on progress towards goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the dealership.
  • Build rapport with the customer base and create a trusting work environment.
  • Prioritize performance measures, collect relevant information, and encourage self-assessment and initiative.
  • Foster a cooperative team style and focus on team building.
  • Lead by example, focusing on brand building, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Promote self-reliance and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize internal and external IT systems for communication.

Requirements

  • At least two years of automotive retail management experience.
  • At least two years of automotive retail sales experience.
  • Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive team-player attitude.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Ability to take on many roles.
  • Ability to easily build rapport with customer base.

  • Two-three years' sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • State salesperson license may also be required.
