About the Role
The Receptionist provides reception and administrative support to RAMS and Dept. of Public Health sites and offices, contributing to the efficiency and timeliness of clinic and program services. This position is open only to consumers/participants of the SF DPH - Community Behavioral Health Services.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact professionally with visitors, clients, and community providers, assisting guests with appointments and meetings.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls to appropriate individuals.
- Make appointment reminder calls to clients.
- Utilize EPIC Electronic Charting System for client information updates and document scanning.
- Perform routine clerical tasks, including filing and organization, and department-specific duties.
- Receive and route deliveries, mail, and faxes.
- Operate office equipment such as fax and copier.
- Assist with maintaining order and cleanliness of shared work spaces, offices, waiting rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with event planning and meeting preparation.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and staff development activities.
- Uphold excellent attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, organization, professional presentation, and a positive demeanor.
- Engage in proactive and productive teamwork in a collaborative and flexible manner.
- Proactively identify tasks and department-related needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Administrative, reception, or clerical experience in an office setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience with current office methods, procedures, and business communications in English.
- At least 1-2 years of direct personal experience with the community behavioral health system, preferably in San Francisco.
- Must be able to travel between work sites as needed.
- Must be able to physically lift or carry items up to 25 lbs.
