About the Role

The IT Compliance Specialist will assist in the implementation, maintenance, design, and monitoring of the IT Compliance program, including ITGC, SOC2, and ISO 27001, and support project and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of overall compliance programs, including risk assessment, design, and testing of internal controls.
  • Support process owners in implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure significant risks are monitored.
  • Update documentation of the RCM (narratives, control descriptions, testing results, compensatory procedures).
  • Assist in the implementation of certification processes and remediation plans, coordinating with external audit firms for ITGC compliance.
  • Assist in special projects such as project and risk assessments, systems integrations/automation, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Support the preparedness and implementation of SOC2 and ISO 27001 programs.

Requirements

  • Possess internal audit certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Internal Auditor).
  • 3+ years of experience in audit and/or internal controls for public companies.
  • Strong knowledge of ITGC (including SOX), SOC2, and ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Inquisitive mind and desire to learn in an emerging industry.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of ownership.
  • Team player able to work independently.
  • Flexible and adaptable; experience in a dynamic environment is an asset.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
