About the Role

The MCT Clinician – Team Lead provides clinical leadership and oversight for crisis-based services within the 589 Crisis Residence and Mobile Crisis Team programs. This position is responsible for overseeing clinical service delivery, supporting and supervising assigned clinical staff, and ensuring crisis assessments, interventions, documentation, and care coordination are completed in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. The Team Lead ensures the consistent implementation of program standards, supports staff development, and promotes high-quality, timely crisis response and stabilization services.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and oversee comprehensive biopsychosocial and crisis assessments for residents and individuals served.
  • Ensure timely completion of admission documentation for the 589 Crisis Residence, clearly articulating medical necessity.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of person-centered, short-term treatment plans focused on crisis stabilization and recovery.
  • Support clinicians in maintaining and updating treatment plans and crisis documentation.
  • Ensure residents and families are oriented to the 589 Crisis Residence, including services provided, service limitations, and residents’ rights.
  • Promote and support resident and family involvement in care planning and multidisciplinary treatment discussions.
  • Monitor and ensure all clinical documentation is completed in the EHR accurately and within timelines.
  • Promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care.
  • Ensure effective linkage and coordination with community resources and systems to support crisis stabilization and discharge planning.
  • Provide and oversee crisis management services within the 589 Crisis Residence and through Mobile Crisis Team responses.
  • Ensure comprehensive discharge planning is completed in collaboration with residents, families, multidisciplinary staff, and community referral agencies.
  • Provide clinical consultation and support for individual and/or family counseling related to mental health and substance use during crisis episodes.
  • Collaborate with external partners including law enforcement, EMS, hospitals, DSS, probation, and drug court to support coordinated crisis response.
  • Ensure accommodation of crisis walk-ins, urgent assessments, and telehealth crisis appointments during business hours.
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to clinicians and Mobile Crisis Team Peers.
  • Maintain oversight of the 589 documentation tracker to ensure compliance with documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory timelines.
  • Train and support clinical staff and peers as needed in EHR use, documentation standards, crisis workflows, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide required clinical supervision to supervisees on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, including case review, treatment planning, and clinical guidance.
  • Facilitate regular group supervision meetings.
  • Ensure appropriate Mobile Crisis Team coverage, including coordination of schedules, on-call needs, and coverage during staff absences.
  • Provide clinical coverage and support for cases when supervisees are unavailable due to leave or urgent needs.
  • Establish, monitor, and implement professional development goals for supervisees.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the effective operation of crisis services.
