About the Role
Lead technical product execution for the Anaplan solution that supports monthly forecasting, annual planning, budgeting, and analysis across eBay's global marketplace. This is a hands-on role requiring deep Anaplan expertise, strong financial planning knowledge, and a practical approach to solving complex problems at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical product execution for eBay’s Anaplan financial planning solution, including forecasting, annual planning, enhancements, and production readiness.
- Work with Finance, FP&A, Technology, and external partners to understand needs, translate requirements, and deliver effective Anaplan capabilities.
- Design, build, configure, and improve connected planning models for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Support smooth planning cycles by ensuring platform readiness, data quality, integrations, reporting dependencies, and issue resolution.
- Guide consultants, model builders, and delivery partners across support, enhancement, and platform improvement work.
- Improve calculations, workflows, integrations, data flows, and configurations across Anaplan and related enterprise systems.
- Identify ways to simplify existing capabilities, improve performance, and create a better user experience.
- Lead design reviews, testing, validation, documentation, release readiness, and support handoffs.
- Communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and timelines clearly with Finance and Technology leaders.
- Contribute to the roadmap for eBay’s financial planning technology.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Anaplan, including model building, configuration, support, optimization, and enterprise implementation.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and reporting processes.
- Experience supporting planning cycles where accuracy, timing, and trust are important.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications, Anaplan designs, configurations, and delivery plans.
- Experience guiding consultants, model builders, developers, or delivery partners without needing direct authority.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with Finance and Technology teams.
- Experience working across production support, enhancements, roadmap planning, and platform improvement efforts.
- Experience with SAP Finance, SAP S/4HANA, SAP reporting, finance data integrations, or enterprise-scale planning environments is a plus.

Experience Level
- 8+ years of experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or leading financial planning systems such as Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar planning technologies.
- 3+ years of hands-on Anaplan experience.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Anaplan Model Builder Certification, Level 3, is required.
Salary/Compensations
- $127,600 - $214,700
