About the Role

As a Field Account Executive, you will own the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to closing the deal on-site. You will build relationships face-to-face with restaurant owners, demonstrate the value of Sauce, and sign them as customers. This role offers high autonomy and reward for self-starters who thrive on in-person selling and have a passion for the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle — prospect, pitch, demo, negotiate, and close — primarily in person and on-site
  • Canvass assigned NYC territories door-to-door, building relationships with restaurant owners and operators
  • Self-source the majority of your pipeline through in-person prospecting, walk-ins, and local networking
  • Work leads and appointments provided by the BDR team to supplement self-generated pipeline
  • Conduct on-site discovery to understand each operator’s delivery costs, margins, and growth goals
  • Deliver compelling, tailored demos of Sauce and articulate clear ROI to busy owners
  • Negotiate and close deals on-site, managing pricing and terms within company guidelines
  • Manage a full pipeline and accurately forecast in HubSpot
  • Ensure a smooth handoff to onboarding and Customer Success after the sale
  • Hit and exceed monthly new-business and revenue targets
  • Provide field intelligence on competitors, objections, and neighborhood-level trends

Requirements

  • Proven ability to close — a track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Comfort and confidence with face-to-face prospecting and door-to-door selling
  • Excellent verbal communication, presence, and relationship-building skills
  • Resilience, persistence, and self-motivation in a high-rejection environment
  • Strong discovery and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized and disciplined in managing territory, pipeline, and time
  • Comfort working autonomously in the field with minimal day-to-day oversight
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally throughout NYC daily
  • Restaurant industry experience or experience selling to restaurants
  • Prior full-cycle, field, or door-to-door sales experience
  • Experience selling SMB SaaS or payments/technology to local businesses
  • Familiarity with HubSpot
  • Bilingual– especially Spanish
  • Startup experience
