About the Role
KENT® Nutrition, a seven-time US Best Managed Company award winner and member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family, has an exciting opportunity for a Sanitation Technician in Arcade, NY. This role supports the Quality Control Manager and Sanitation Supervisor in maintaining facility cleanliness and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a clean, rodent and pest-free facility, meeting FDA, USDA, NYS Ag. & Markets, and other regulatory standards.
- Report any factors affecting the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients to the supervisor.
- Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping assignments safely and efficiently according to the sanitation schedule.
- Fill in production positions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
Requirements
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
- Knowledge of FSMA.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs. to a height of 48 inches continually.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
