About the Role
The Physician/Gastroenterologist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. This role will evaluate and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up care, while monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed. Effective communication with other physicians, staff, and patients is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose or treat digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
- Document or review patients' histories.
- Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests.
- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
- Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.
- Prescribe or administer medications and treatments to patients.
Requirements
- Current DEA License
- Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in Gastroenterology
- Current California Physician License
- Completion of a residency program in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 3 years of experience
