About the Role
The Risk Coordinator supports the Risk and Quality Departments in maintaining a safe and compliant environment. This role involves executing the risk management program, leading incident investigations, analyzing data to identify risks, and collaborating on corrective action plans and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Risk and Quality Directors in executing the risk management program.
- Promote a culture of safety by encouraging incident reporting.
- Lead investigations following incidents, complaints, and grievances.
- Collaborate with employees to streamline the incident reporting process.
- Identify risks that could potentially result in harm to patients, staff, or visitors.
- Coordinate incident data collection and analysis from all departments.
- Coordinate the development of corrective action plans for regulatory vulnerability or patient safety concerns.
- Assist leadership with building sustainable processes for Quality Council, policy review, Safety Committee, data analytics, and internal reports.
- Compile and distribute materials prior to various meetings and record minutes.
- Serve as a visible, engaged, and dynamic team member.
- Complete safety rounds, participate in leadership rounding, and submit results/corrective actions.
- Manage department records.
- Assist with coordinating and training staff for regulatory compliance.
- Assist with the coordination of Risk Management and QAPI programs.
- Track Risk and Quality/QAPI projects throughout the facility.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with CARF, DEA, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys, as required by service line(s) supported.

Education Level
- Associate or Bachelor's degree within a clinical healthcare field such as nursing or counseling preferred.
