About the Role
Comcast Technology and Product Experience (TPX) is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join the Connected Living Camera Client Engineering team. This group is responsible for customer-facing mobile application development for Comcast’s Home Security Camera product offerings. This includes the native iOS and Android Xfinity application, which primarily handles our cloud enabled Internet Gateway for millions of homes but is expanding to become Comcast’s primary mobile app with new features such as bill pay.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android features for camera and video experiences
- Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and technical decisions
- Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks
- Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
- Debug and resolve production issues
- Participate in code reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with MVVM or similar architecture patterns
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
