About the Role

InnVest Hotels is seeking a Houseperson to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of guest floors, public areas, and amenities, ensuring an outstanding guest experience and supporting the company's mission of delivering superior returns on hospitality investment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest floors, public washrooms, elevators, stairwells, and interior/exterior public areas, including fitness rooms and showers, according to hotel efficiency standards.
• Conduct carpet shampooing and deep cleaning.
• Ensure security standards are practiced to protect guest and employee privacy and belongings.
• Follow hotel policies regarding key control and the security of hotel property, including linens, supply carts, vacuums, and storage rooms.
• Meet and exceed guest and co-worker expectations by providing exemplary service and teamwork.
• Ensure prompt attention to all guests, providing value-added service to exceed expectations.
• Assist with inventories and help prevent waste and misuse of guest and cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Assist room attendants to ensure smooth operations by promptly removing garbage, soiled linen, and dirty food trays from corridors.
• Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, and follow checklist procedures.
• Clean corridors and vents.
• Strip rooms.
• Wash floors and windows.
• Respond to Front Desk calls, assisting with checking rooms, luggage delivery, and guest special requests.
• Communicate with management and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, and safety issues.
• Maintain pool and fitness room supplies of towels.

Requirements

• Considerable amount of walking.
• Ability to perform lifting, pulling, and pushing tasks.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to reach heights of approximately 6 ft and depths of 2.5-3 ft.
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
• Must have a high level of mobility and flexibility in provided space.
• Ability to lift and carry a weight of approximately 20 pounds.
• Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure during busy times.
• Literacy skills including reading, writing, and oral communication.
• Outstanding organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment with minimum supervision.
• Self-motivated, honest, creative, and capable of working in a team environment.
• Flexible attitude to scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
