About the Role

The SAP Product Owner is responsible for ensuring reliable, insight-ready Finance and Supply Chain operations at De Beers Jewellers. This role ensures SAP serves as a trusted backbone for decision-making, operational efficiency, and data integrity by translating operational needs into scalable SAP solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Shape a clear, value-led SAP roadmap that strengthens Finance and Supply Chain performance.
  • Partner closely with business teams and global SAP colleagues to uncover opportunities and refine requirements.
  • Translate operational needs into well-crafted, insight-driven specifications.
  • Lead SAP initiatives of all sizes, ensuring changes are understood, tested, and delivered effectively.
  • Ensure SAP remains a dependable backbone for core processes by providing proactive support and resolving issues.
  • Safeguard data integrity across SAP and connected systems by upholding robust standards and controls.
  • Oversee the smooth deployment of system changes, patches, and upgrades.
  • Monitor incidents and service requests to ensure timely resolution and drive continuous improvement.
  • Simplify, optimize, and future-proof SAP capabilities to support insight-led decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven track record delivering SAP S/4HANA projects, ideally within retail or other high-complexity environments.
  • Deep understanding of SAP Finance processes, integration points, and modules (Finance, Quality Control, Demand Planning).
  • Proven track record of hands-on experience in functional or technical SAP roles (FI, CO, PCA, Asset Management, SD, MM, or PP).
  • Strong SAP expertise is essential; experience with additional enterprise systems like Oracle is highly advantageous.
  • Confident working with technical tools and concepts including ABAP, SAP Query, Workflow, BAPI, and automation tools like Winshuttle.
  • Skilled at interpreting complex data sets and turning them into clear, meaningful insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, high accuracy, and a strong systems mindset.
  • Highly organised and structured, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and collaborate.
  • Strong relationship-builder who creates trust and fosters collaboration.
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and driven by continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Positive, inclusive, and committed to contributing to a high-performance culture.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete background screening.
