About the Role
The Game Architect will realize the creative vision of Merge Dragons within its technical structure, ensuring synchronization and consistency across complex software systems by providing strategic technical direction, mentoring senior engineers, and ensuring software solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Define architectural standards and frameworks for software development.
- Spearhead the development of critical systems that require high reliability.
- Contribute technical roadmaps and strategic planning sessions.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to solve business needs.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development across the engineering team.
- Maintain oversight of project timelines and deliverables to ensure quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software developers.
- Ensure the technical feasibility and resource allocation for new game features.
- Conducts and leads highly complex projects which requires technical harmonization of multiple systems and other disciplines.
- Contributes to corporate level technical programs and represent the studio's technical views.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 15+ Years of experience in software development or similar role
- To be an outstanding expert in technical architecture and programming
- Prior experience on system design and backend integration is a must
- Must have strategic understanding of game design and be able to engage in projects encompassing creative and technical art teams
- Must have hands on problem solving approach at debugging to resolve complex technical problems
- Experienced in performance management, talent acquisition, mentoring processes within technology teams
- Experienced in stakeholder management and facilitation
