About the Role
Provide services to adults diagnosed with mental illness living in a group home, focusing on verbal engagement, supportive counseling, and skills teaching. We do not provide personal care or use physical restraints.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive counseling.
- Provide rehabilitation skills such as teaching of daily living skills, medication management, and coping skills.
- Provide crisis intervention and prevention.
- Facilitate recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients, ensuring chores are completed correctly and assisting with cleaning.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Provide transportation to clients using agency vehicles.
Requirements
- Possess a valid and insurable driver's license.
- Must have a personal vehicle for business use when not transporting clients.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to be organized with good time management skills.
