About the Role

The Business Development & Publishing Manager is responsible for the commercial aspects of Torpor Games’ titles, including sales, market reach, and platform relationships. This role supports sales strategy, owns reporting, and manages day-to-day interactions with storefronts and distribution partners through data analysis and negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan discounts and promotions across all platforms.
  • Manage mobile store performance on the App Store and Google Play, including pricing, store listings, and visibility.
  • Run market and competitor analysis to guide pricing, positioning, and release timing.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new releases, DLC, and ports.
  • Build and maintain sales reporting: sales, wishlists, conversion, refunds, and regional performance.
  • Read platform data and reporting tools and inform the team how this can support our decision making.
  • Grow distribution on third-party stores such as GOG, Epic Games Store, and Humble, and manage key/code sales.
  • Find and negotiate bundle partnerships, for example with store fronts such as Humble Bundle, Fanatical and similar.
  • Negotiate platform deals, featuring, and promotional placement.
  • Handle day-to-day platform communication and partner relationships.
  • Support publishing on platforms: store pages, launches, builds, and release logistics.
  • Prepare and run quarterly business reviews for management.

Requirements

  • Experience in games business development, publishing, or platform relations.
  • Familiarity with PC, mobile, and ideally console storefront backend tools.
  • Confident working with sales data and reporting tools.
  • Good at building relationships and negotiation.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Self-directed and proactive.
