About the Role
You will undertake tasks under the mentorship of a Senior Designer or Architect. While licensure is not mandatory, it is anticipated to be among your short-term objectives.
Responsibilities
- Keep the Project Manager or Project Architect updated on progress, expectations, deadlines, and deliverables within your responsibilities.
- Participate in team meetings, charrettes, and coordination sessions.
- Assist in monitoring and coordinating internal team and external consultant work and deadlines.
- Support project teams in developing designs through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
- Develop design concepts, renderings, and presentation drawings.
- Utilize MicroStation, Open Buildings, and other BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
- Prepare and revise documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
- Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure they align with the design intent.
- Assist with contract administration tasks.
- Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
- Implement sustainable design principles into building designs and the surrounding environment.
- Conduct site analysis and research concepts, benchmarks, typologies, and precedents.
