About the Role

This paraprofessional position requires successful completion of a Home Health Training Competency course and certification test. Upon completion, trainees become certified Home Health Aides trained to provide personal care to patients in their residences under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. The role reports to the Nurse Clinical Manager in accordance with New York State requirements.

Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Must meet Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide training program and competency.
Must be able to perform basic math skills.
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
100% attendance for all home health aide training course-work classes is required.
Attend Health Quest Home Care office orientation for hours not in class to meet full weekly position control hours.
Possess maturity and the ability to deal effectively with job demands.
Complete a NY Department of Health Approved Home Health Aide training program and competency.
Possess a valid NYS Driver's License.
Possess a reliable automobile.
Provide proof of auto insurance.
Meet all required Health Quest Home Care health assessment/screening requirements.
