About the Role

This paraprofessional position requires successful completion of a Home Health Training Competency course and certification test. Upon completion, trainees become certified Home Health Aides trained to provide personal care to patients in their residences under the direction of healthcare professionals. The role reports to the Nurse Clinical Manager in accordance with New York State requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.

• Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must meet Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide training program and competency.
• Must be able to perform basic math skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must have 100% attendance for all home health aide training course-work classes.
• Must attend Health Quest Home Care office orientation for hours not in class to equal full weekly position control hours.
• Must meet all required Health Quest Home Care health assessment/screening requirements.
