About the Role
This is a conditionally hired paraprofessional position requiring the successful completion of a Home Health Training Competency course. Trainees will advance to become certified Home Health Aides, performing personal care for patients in their residences under the supervision of registered nurses and therapists.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to established Agency policies and procedures.

- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Successfully complete the 75-hour Home Health Training Competency course.
- Pass the certification test.
- Meet Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide training.
- Possess basic math skills.
- Read, write, and comprehend English.
- Maintain 100% attendance for all training coursework.
- Attend office orientation during non-class hours to meet weekly position control hours.
- Obtain HHA certification from a NY Department of Health approved program.
- Possess a valid NYS Driver's License.
- Maintain a reliable automobile with proof of insurance.
- Meet all health assessment and screening requirements.
