About the Role
The Senior Management Accountant will deliver accurate financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive business performance. This role involves preparing monthly management accounts, performing financial analysis, and partnering with stakeholders to improve processes and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts for international subsidiaries
- Perform month-end tasks including revenue recognition, cost of sales, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset maintenance
- Conduct balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Manage debtor, creditor, and bank revaluations
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Analyze financial results and provide commentary for senior management
- Execute project work to improve financial files, systems, and processes
- Manage VAT/GST and other local tax returns
- Collaborate with local accountants to ensure subsidiary account alignment
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation in line with IFRS/local GAAP
- Support year-end duties and annual audits
- Perform ad hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller and Finance Director
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting environment
- Qualified Accountant
- Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- International accounting experience
- Strong academic background
- Month-end experience including prepayments, accruals, and revenue recognition
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Solid understanding of accounts payable principles and VAT
- Proven ability to manage financial records and figures
- Strong communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels
