About the Role
Pulse is seeking an experienced Band 6 Acute Dietitian for the adult acute dietetics team at West Middlesex University Hospital. This role involves managing adult inpatients and providing high-quality nutritional care across specialist clinical areas, including those requiring oral nutritional support, enteral feeding, and TPN.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist dietetic assessment and treatment for adult inpatients across a variety of acute clinical areas
- Manage patients with complex nutritional needs, including those requiring TPN and enteral feeding
- Deliver evidence-based oral nutritional support interventions
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualised nutritional care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives
- Support the delivery of high-quality inpatient dietetic services across the Trust
Requirements
- HCPC registered Dietitian
- Experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent within an acute hospital setting
- Inpatient experience in one or more of the following areas: Frailty, General Medicine, Gastroenterology, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
- Experience managing enterally fed patients
- Strong knowledge of oral nutritional support and nutritional assessment
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
