About the Role

Apex Group is seeking an experienced Fund Administrator to join their team in Japan. This full-time remote role offers flexible working hours, a competitive salary, and benefits. The position involves providing oversight for client accounting and financial reporting for real estate structures, ensuring compliance, and preparing financial statements according to Japan GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight to the APEX team supporting clients for SPC accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of real estate structures.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Ensure all day-time matters required to be completed are performed in a timely and satisfactory manner, including monitoring tasks.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation in compliance with Japan GAAP.
• Work closely with the relevant Real Estate administration teams in APEX Shanghai to ensure that accounting records are accurate and transaction activity within the portfolio is understood and incorporated into the accounting ledgers as appropriate.

Requirements

• Significant experience working with Special Purpose Companies in Japan.
• Understanding of key requirements for servicing these structures.
• Ability to provide input and guidance on all future team developments.
• Experience in accounting in Japan.
• 1-3 years working experience in Finance / Accounting related roles in Japan.
• Experience with bookkeeping systems in Japan, such as Kanjo Bugyo.
