About the Role

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Team Manager for their CBD branch to deliver exceptional claims service and leadership under the Icare NSW workers compensation scheme. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring professional and customer-focused service through effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship to drive outstanding service performance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to shaping culture through high levels of people engagement, recognizing diversity and increasing people's satisfaction and pride in goals.
  • Monitor service performance by establishing clear goals, tracking progress, ensuring timely feedback, providing support, addressing performance deficiencies, and recognizing exceptional performance.
  • Lead and mentor the claims team, providing coaching and professional support to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Analyze team performance trends and projections, implementing remedial action to resolve issues.
  • Promote a culture that ensures compliance with business processes.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the team and business to improve outcomes for customers and people.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience within the workers compensation industry.
  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced and high volumes environments is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost-effective business activities.
  • Experience in managing performance and/or exposure to all technical and regulatory requirements for medical only or simple personal injury claims.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proven history of leading, managing, and developing a team with diverse and specialized skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of specialized return to work or technical claims services.
  • Must have the right to live and work in Australia.
