About the Role

Welocalize is seeking a Spanish Localization QA Tester / Proofreader to evaluate localized content across web, mobile, and software applications. This role ensures translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and meet high-quality standards. You will execute test cases, identify and document localization issues, collaborate with teams, and verify bug fixes. This is a long-term, hybrid opportunity ideal for those looking to build a career in localization, language quality, and software testing.

Responsibilities

Evaluate localized content across web, mobile, and software applications.
Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and meet the highest quality standards.
Execute test cases.
Identify and document localization issues.

Verify bug fixes throughout the testing lifecycle.

Requirements

Native-level proficiency in Spanish (from Spain), including excellent grammar, vocabulary, spelling, composition, and punctuation skills.
Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Experience in translation, localization, proofreading, copy editing, or related language-focused work.
Strong technical aptitude and confidence working with web-based applications and software platforms.
Experience testing applications on macOS and iOS devices.
Ability to identify, prioritize, and evaluate linguistic and localization issues.
Experience working with test cases, test scripts, and structured testing processes.
Familiarity with bug tracking and issue management systems.
Ability to clearly document issues, reproduction steps, and recommended resolutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within diverse, global teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to attend occasionally at our Austin, Texas office on an as-needed basis to meet business requirements.
Must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
