About the Role
This leadership role is responsible for driving innovation, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within SSI's Local Area Coordination Program. The position enhances outcomes for people with disability, strengthens organizational performance, and supports service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative projects and business improvement initiatives that strengthen participant outcomes, workforce capability and social impact.
- Drive organisational change, program transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the LAC Program.
- Monitor quality performance and audit outcomes, ensuring alignment with NDIA and program requirements.
- Prepare and contribute to strategic reports, business cases, funding submissions and organisational planning activities.
- Build and maintain productive partnerships with the NDIA, community organisations and key stakeholders.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team that promotes a culture of quality, accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Disability, Allied Health, Social Work, Community Services or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years' leadership experience within community services, disability services, human services or the not-for-profit sector.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale business improvement, organisational change, service development or transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, quality assurance, risk management and policy frameworks.
- Experience developing, reviewing and implementing policies, procedures and organisational frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership skills with proven success developing high-performing teams and positive workplace culture.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working collaboratively with government agencies, community organisations and cross-functional teams.
