About the Role
Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has a strong track record with over 4,000 projects delivered in the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio covers a wide array of transmission and substation applications, enabling reliable and efficient integration of the future digital electric network with minimal environmental impact. We offer integrated systems, solutions, and services across our DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid, and Power Quality solutions like offshore wind connections and Semiconductors. Additionally, we provide Power Consulting for key energy system segments such as renewables, transmission, distribution, and e-transportation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise field activities.
- Coordinate and manage field activities through all phases, including construction planning, equipment delivery, installation, assembly, and commissioning, from field start-up to customer handover.
- Interact with internal teams (including overseas) and subcontractors to ensure contracts, quality, delivery, and safety are performed in accordance with standards.
- Perform on-site SV activities as an equipment manufacturer, without performing construction work.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
Requirements
- University graduate/degree holder.
- Experience in management, such as construction management and field representative in electrical construction.
- First-Class Electric Works Execution Manager certification.
- Business level or above Japanese language fluency.
- Intermediate level or above English fluency.
- Valid driving license eligible in Japan and ability to drive to site locations if needed.
