About the Role

Live Nation is seeking a Business Development Director to drive sponsorship revenue across its Australia and New Zealand portfolio. This role involves securing high-value brand partnerships for concerts, festivals, venues, and digital products, acting as a liaison between brands, fans, and artists. The position offers an opportunity to shape commercial strategy and collaborate with various internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Secure high-value partnerships with clients across multiple brand categories, delivering revenue across Live Nation's properties.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to partners, balancing their goals with Live Nation's objectives and requirements.
  • Lead partner renewal conversations and collaborate with the Brand Management team to grow existing partnerships.
  • Own the contractual process for new and renewing partners, liaising with Legal, Finance, and Sales Enablement through to execution.
  • Work closely with Integrated Marketing and Brand Management teams during pitching, proposal development, and partnership handover.
  • Maintain sales pipeline reports, sales presentations, and partnership cost analyses, reporting regularly to leadership.
  • Represent Live Nation in partner meetings at all levels, including C-suite, as well as industry events and conferences.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff, while championing Live Nation's culture and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven sales track record with a strong history of closing deals with top-tier brands and delivering high-value partnerships, ideally across entertainment or sports.
  • Solid understanding of the partnerships landscape across Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Existing commercial relationships and contacts across a range of client categories.
  • Sharp instincts for spotting business opportunities and turning them into revenue.
  • Confident, persuasive, and an active listener with strong consultative ability.
  • Excellent prioritization skills with a proactive, thorough approach to deadlines.
  • A team player who builds positive relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • High standards, attention to detail, and a flexible, can-do attitude.
