About the Role

This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys analysis, problem-solving, and working with numbers. If you’re curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn, this role offers strong development opportunities. You will work extensively with Dayforce, our global payroll and people platform, becoming a key contributor to weekly payroll processing and core HR system functions. The role also provides hands-on exposure to Dayforce Payroll, Workforce Management, and Talent modules, allowing you to build strong system capability across multiple areas.

Responsibilities

  • New team member setup and system maintenance
  • Reviewing rosters and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Responding to payroll enquiries via the service desk ticketing system in a timely and professional manner
  • Supporting leaders to become confident and effective users of Dayforce
  • Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant Australian and New Zealand awards and legislation
  • Preparing payroll, people data, and metrics reporting

Requirements

  • 1 + years end-to-end payroll processing experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience with Dayforce, while ideal is not mandatory
  • Experience in interpreting industrial instruments ie: Modern Australian Awards (desirable)
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Excel and Word
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and personal accuracy
  • Ability to problem solve and find solutions
  • Good English communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
  • A customer service mindset and passion to help team members
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently and with accuracy in a busy environment
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia, with eligibility to work without sponsorship
