About the Role

This role provides expert guidance and assurance to ensure project works remain safe, compliant, and world-class. You will act as a liaison between the Owners Team and Principal Contractors, coaching, influencing, and partnering to maintain the highest safety standards across project sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring contractors implement and maintain robust safety management measures.
• Reviewing contractor documentation, conducting site safety inspections, and performing desktop audits.
• Partnering with Project Managers, Superintendents, and site representatives to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Overseeing incident investigations to ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
• Providing hands-on safety training and support to the Owners Team and direct-hire contractors.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in civil construction, tunnelling, or similar industries.
• Exposure to ICAM and investigations.
• Systems and Auditing experience is a plus.
• Deep expertise in Risk Management, including Critical Risk Control programs.
• Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to convey complex ideas to various groups effectively.
• Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS legislation.
