About the Role
This role provides expert guidance and assurance to ensure project works remain safe, compliant, and world-class. You will act as a liaison between the Owners Team and Principal Contractors, coaching, influencing, and partnering to maintain the highest safety standards across project sites.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring contractors implement and maintain robust safety management measures.
- Reviewing contractor documentation, conducting site safety inspections, and performing desktop audits.
- Partnering with Project Managers, Superintendents, and site representatives to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Overseeing incident investigations to ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Providing hands-on safety training and support to the Owners Team and direct-hire contractors.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in civil construction, tunnelling, or similar industries.
- Exposure to ICAM and investigations.
- Systems and Auditing experience is a plus.
- Deep expertise in Risk Management, including Critical Risk Control programs.
- Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to convey complex ideas to various groups effectively.
- Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS legislation.
