About the Role
Equinix is seeking a motivated Training & Development Advisor to support the Physical Security Enablement function across APAC. This role will design, coordinate, and deliver learning programs to build capability for security teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders, aligning with business priorities and regional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, coordination, and delivery of physical security training and enablement programs across APAC.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to develop learning content, training materials, frameworks, and practical learning experiences.
- Help build foundational physical security learning programs, including awareness training, critical policies, and onboarding materials for security guards and operational teams.
- Coordinate projects and programs in line with regional and global standards.
- Prepare and support lesson plans, training documentation, delivery methods, and supporting materials.
- Deliver or support learning through classroom, virtual, and self-guided formats.
- Utilize needs assessment and feedback tools to understand training effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Navigate regional differences, including legal, contractual, and operational constraints that may affect training requirements across APAC.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, site teams, and functional partners to support successful learning adoption.
Requirements
- Experience in physical security, security operations, training coordination, learning and development, project coordination, or a related operational environment OR recent Graduate from relevant industries.
- Exposure to corporate security, data centre operations, facilities environments, or vendor-managed security teams is valuable.
- Understanding of training delivery, onboarding, stakeholder engagement, or process improvement is desirable.
- Ability to work within established frameworks, SOPs, and regional/global standards while continuing to develop subject matter expertise.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt style for different audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and confidence working with senior stakeholders, functional teams, and operational partners.
- Practical problem-solving ability and willingness to assess issues, identify causes, and suggest improvements.
- Good project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on agreed actions.
- Political and cultural awareness to work across APAC, where training expectations and legal requirements may vary.
- Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with site teams and operational stakeholders, particularly when supporting onboarding and learning adoption.
