About the Role
The Deal Desk team serves as strategic advisors to LinkedIn’s Field Sales team, managing the Order to Cash (O2C) process and facilitating complex deal structures. This role supports sales teams in navigating complex deals, driving LinkedIn’s growth and success by partnering with sales teams and other cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Enable the Deal Desk team to deliver the best possible service to internal and external customers across multiple markets and verticals
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales teams by providing expert guidance on pricing strategies, deal structuring and navigating complex client requests
- Build strong partnerships with sales and cross-functional teams (legal, credit, revenue) to deliver effective service to clients while maintaining top-quality customer experience
- Continuously improve workflows by identifying inefficiencies and driving innovations in systems and processes, ensuring scalability and enhanced profitability
- Ensure KPIs are met and find ways to improve through systems innovations, process enhancements, or better use of resources
- Train, mentor, and educate members of the Deal Desk global team, enabling them to provide excellent support to sales teams and customers
- Manage and serve as the point of escalation for all OTC issues to clients, sales and cross-functional partners, ensuring timely resolution
- Be an expert advisor to internal teams on system tools and the creation and execution of all deals, particularly ones of high-value and complexity
- Provide regular communication and education to the global Deal Desk team on upcoming system changes, driving adoption and effective use of new tools and processes
- Identify regional nuances in processes and proactively address unique requirements
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key cross-functional partners and back-office teams, serving as the primary POC for Deal Desk questions or concerns while minimising the need for escalations
- Engage directly with clients to resolve OTC issues as needed
- Act as a role model for change, learning and development, demonstrating a growth mindset and supporting the team in adopting new strategies and improvements
- Demonstrate a commitment to going above and beyond in supporting sales teams and clients, ensuring their success in navigating complex processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement or Order to Cash as a whole cycle
- Comfortable with change and an ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cohesive team environment
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Experience leading initiatives or teams
- Proficient with Google and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Salesforce, Dynamics 365 and Oracle
- Ability to process a high volume of transactions with accuracy and integrity
