About the Role
HKA's Integrated Project Services team in Sydney is seeking Planners to manage and execute planning and scheduling across multiple infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering major projects, working with clients to solve complex challenges and providing best-practice Project Management Office (PMO) and project controls.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of plans and schedules.
- Produce and control schedule baselines using approved work breakdown structures and techniques.
- Manage and coordinate project reports, identifying scheduling and planning requirements, including Progress Report Dashboards.
- Assist project teams in updating forecasts for time and budget.
- Develop and deliver Construction Readiness, Construction delivery, and Testing and Commissioning schedules within P6.
- Perform schedule quality checks and data generation, reviewing and reporting on contractor schedules.
- Support cost estimate, cost control, risk, change management, delivery, and commercial teams.
- Manage and maintain individual sections of the master schedule, ensuring its integrity.
- Evaluate tenders, conduct schedule delay analysis, and collaborate with Project Teams for consistency across work packages.
- Prepare for 'what if' scenarios and conduct schedule impact assessments.
- Run Schedule Health Checks and Schedule Risk Analysis.
- Assist with drafting proposals for future work opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a planning and scheduling environment within infrastructure, construction, or water projects.
- Proven understanding of planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and clients.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
- Working knowledge of Project Planning systems, including P6.
- Proficiency in modern project management and project controls techniques within a multi-disciplined organization.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in a high-volume professional environment with competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate articulately verbally and orally, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
