About the Role
The Disability Support Worker provides high-quality, person-centered support to empower clients with disabilities to live independently. You will assist clients in achieving their goals while promoting their wellbeing, dignity, and quality of life within the Northern Beaches community.
Responsibilities
- Provide community-based support for daily activities such as appointments and shopping
- Deliver personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
- Administer medication
- Assist with manual handling and the use of specialized equipment like hoists
- Document and monitor client wellbeing
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a supportive environment
Requirements
- Commitment to person-centered care
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2)
- Ability to meet inherent physical requirements of the role
- Willingness to work a rotating roster
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR certification
