About the Role
Baillie Lumber's Smyrna, NY location is looking to add a Forklift Operator to their team. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a world class lumber organization as a second shift forklift operator.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift in a large open warehouse to locate/organize/move material as needed.
- Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Locate/pull/organize loads of material needed for orders.
- Assist shipping department as needed for various duties.
- Work efficiently and safely while maintaining a high level of precision.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an equipment operator using a forklift required.
- At least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and organized.
- Willingness to work in an outside environment.
- Willingness to work overtime.
