About the Role
Become a Road Safety Hero vital to the safety of children, parents, teachers, and local motorists. This casual position provides relief at school crossing sites in the Willoughby Local Government Area, with shifts typically between 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday during school terms.
Responsibilities
- Supervise school crossings to ensure the safety of children, parents, teachers, and motorists.
- Maintain a visible and familiar presence around schools.
- Contribute to positive community relationships.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment.
- Reliable and prepared to work in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Alertness to potential dangers.
