About the Role
Join a collaborative care delivery team as a Nurse Practitioner at Riverside Peninsula Cancer Institute in Newport News, VA. You will work alongside experienced oncology specialists, providing patient-centered care and upholding the "The Riverside Care Difference" by delivering the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and manage personalized care plans
- Perform pulmonology consultations
- Counsel patients and families on treatment options and care plans
- Prescribe and evaluate treatments and medications
- Document clinical findings accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cancer care experts
Requirements
- Master’s in Nursing
- Current NP license
- Board certification (FNP & PMHNP)
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
- Experience in oncology or pulmonology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
- A compassionate, team-oriented mindset
