About the Role
Plumbers report to the foreman and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. The role requires following project specifications and timelines while maintaining high standards of quality through effective communication with the team.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems and accessories.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications for plumbing layouts.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fittings.
- Cut and bore holes in walls and floors for pipes and fittings.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and connect pipes using hand and power tools.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding.
- Test pipes for leaks using pressure gauges and specialized equipment.
- Troubleshoot plumbing system issues and identify solutions.
- Support company culture growth and development.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- 2 years of professional plumbing experience.
- Active Journeyperson designation on STO.
- Knowledge of Federal and Provincial building codes.
- Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per day in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for items over 25kg.
- Ability to climb scaffolding.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
